It gives us great pleasure to invite you to a new edition of the Gulf Heart Association’s Annual Meeting. The Kuwait edition is undertaken in collaboration with the Kuwait Heart Foundation. This meeting represents an opportunity to meet friends and colleagues from the region and around the world and share most recent updates in the field of cardiology.
This year will mark the 15th Annual meeting for the Gulf Heart Association. Our colleagues have worked diligently to put together this meeting and program that includes preconference workshops, two and half days of scientific program and a post conference “open day” for the public. The highlights of the program include the Keynote speaker, our Saudi colleague Professor Hani Najm, who is currently the Chairman of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgery Department at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. He will tell us about his vast journey and its challenges. Other highlights include heart failure session led by Professor Giuseppe Rosano, President of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Heart Failure Association. The ESC is also represented in a joint session that will address the recently released ESC guidelines on ACS, endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy and cardiovascular disease and Diabetes. The American College of Cardiology is present with a joint session on coronary artery disease. We have dedicated a session for artificial intelligence in cardiac disease. Local and regional studies will be highlighted in a session as well as electrophysiology and interventional cardiology. A session has been dedicated for cardiac surgery. Researchers from the region will have the opportunity to exhibit their work through abstract submission.
We are proud to collaborate with our colleagues in Palestine and Yemen. We will broadcast conference scientific activities to both countries.
The weather in December in Kuwait is great. We encourage conference participants to seize the opportunity to explore the traditional and trendy markets in Kuwait. On behalf of our colleagues at the Conference Management Committee, we would like to welcome all those who have accepted our invitations to speak or moderate sessions as well as registered delegates from inside and outside Kuwait. We wish you all a good time and stay in our country.
